Your field of responsibility


The Credit Suisse AG Parent CRO function focuses on introducing strategic measures to improve the risk profile and capital position of one of the group’s major legal entities: CS AG Parent.

The legal entity comprises a wide variety of businesses across both investment and private banking, spanning the entire globe. Furthermore, as the central treasury hub and a holding company, CS AG Parent also plays a central role in funding and financing virtually all other CS entities. The key challenge of the CS Parent CRO function lies in understanding the full range of risks (Market, Credit, Liquidity, etc.) across the various entity’s activities, whilst pertaining a holistic view of how these risks affect the overall capital position. To achieve this, our team collaborates closely with stakeholders across the bank including; the central and divisional risk management functions, finance, treasury and front-office.

As a risk analyst within our team, you will work on a variety of engagements geared towards raising the profile and increase transparency of CS AG Parent risks within Credit Suisse, including:

  • Designing and analysing portfolio-wide stress tests,
  • Defining CS AG Parent risk appetite across various risk stripes,
  • Contributing to risk identification processes,
  • Developing analytics tools to better understand the CS AG Parent vulnerabilities,
  • Monitoring various risk metrics and reporting to senior risk and capital management committees.

Your skills and experience
  • University degree (Master) or equivalent in a quantitative discipline (Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Economic etc.)
  • Preliminary work experience in banking, preferably in risk management, capital management or similar function
  • Understanding of risk measurement frameworks, stress testing and scenario analysis experience
  • Experience in capital concepts (e.g. regulatory capital)
  • You are a dedicated problem solver with a positive personality and results-oriented approach, willing to cooperate in a highly collaborative yet challenging environment
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills in English and proficiency in collaborating with various different hierarchy levels
  • Proficient in MS-Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Programming skills in a general purpose scripting language (e.g., R or Python) would be advantageous
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
