Your team

As part of the Investment Risk Unit of Pictet AM, you will measure, monitor and analyse the market risk factors affecting fixed income portfolios and support portfolio managers in their portfolio construction.

Your role

  • Managing risk for a team of institutional asset managers.
  • Monitoring fund and mandate exposures on a daily basis, analysing risk over time and by risk factor, performing daily follow-ups of all the strategies in place and assessing differences in exposure with asset managers.
  • Monitoring daily performance and producing ad hoc performance attributions for funds and mandates.
  • Helping to improve the modelling of market risk in the risk-management tool.
  • Interacting with portfolio managers to develop risk tools adapted to their investment process with a view to enhancing risk taking.
  • Contributing to projects that will strengthen the team’s risk management process and offering.
  • Writing reports intended either for internal requesters or for senior management.

Your profile

  • A Master’s degree in Finance and/or Science; professional qualification such as a CQF, FRM or CFA certification would be a plus.
  • At least five years’ proven banking experience in market risk management.
  • Very good understanding of fixed income instruments and their specific risk factors.
  • Strong interest for macroeconomics.
  • Excellent programming skills (VBA, R or Python).
  • Familiarity with Oracle Database and knowledge of Tableau would be a plus.
  • User experience of the MSCI RiskMetrics solution or another risk software would be an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with ability to work as part of a team and interact well with clients, as well as very good presentation skills.
  • Strong organisational skills.
  • Must be resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
