Governance Manager, Electrification

As a Governance Manager, you will be responsible for implementing and managing a wide range of corporate governance requirements within the Electrification Business Area. You will be reporting to the Electrification Head of Assurance, Risk and Internal Control.

Your responsibilities

• Being Business Partner for the EL (Electrification) Leadership Team for Corporate & EL Policies, CAT (Competence Assessment Talk), BATs (Best Available Techniques), and LATs related issues.
• Representing jointly with ELGM, the EL Business Area in the Global Governance and Assurance Team, thus ensuring that changes in Corporate Governance framework (e.g. updates to the Corporate Authorization table) are timely communicated and initiated within EL.
• Providing input to the development of corporate policies, procedures, tables of authority, to support business objectives.
• Being responsible for the communication between Corporate/ Business Area / global and local Divisions, ensuring knowledge and information is shared within EL and keeping others up to date on the above areas.
• Rolling out and ensuring the adoption and timely updates of authorization tables, policies, and procedures within EL, supporting their local implementation and maintenance, taking a lead coordination role.
• Providing advice to policy owners regarding policy development and implementation.
• Supporting and monitoring training activities where required.
• Providing advice and assistance with governance issues such as providing clarification on CAT/ BAT, Corporate policy matters.
• Supporting management with the monitoring of compliance with global and local standards, rules, tools, policies, and procedures and supporting corrective actions (such as ABB Statutory Compliance policy through e-tables).
• Ensuring awareness of emerging compliance requirements.

Your background

• 10+ years of professional experience, ideally in a governance, integrity or business process assurance role.
• Previous experience in implementation and maintenance of corporate policies among organizations, and monitoring compliance with them.
• Significant exposure to senior management stakeholders
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including facilitation, presentation, and negotiation.
• Ability to synthesize information and draft papers clearly and convincingly.
• Excellent editorial skills; attention to detail and high levels of accuracy.
• Well-developed stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work in matrix organization.
• Experience of change management.
