Optotune is a growing and internationally active optics company based in Dietikon, Switzerland. We develop, manufacture and market the latest generation of adaptive optical elements for industrial and consumer markets.

Your goal is to grow Optotune’s consumer business, may that be by scaling up our core markets, finding new applications for existing products or developing new markets.

Tasks
  • Lead an interdisciplinary team of product engineers and technicians within the area of metrology, testing, product validation and reliability
  • Be a strong leader, exhibiting Optotune’s core values and engage your team by following “The Optotune Way to Success”
  • Build a high-performance team by selecting, teaching, coaching, and inspiring each member of your team, perform appraisals
  • Responsible for prototype and product validation and including root cause analysis, tolerancing analysis, and troubleshooting of errors
  • Introduce test and manufacturing equipment, streamline testing procedures, and ensure that the tests and procedures meet our company and industry standards
  • Design, implement, and carry out performance test that ensure quality and functionality of our products in close collaboration with Engineering and Operations
  • Co-define product validation control standards and associated infrastructures within operations and across multiple production sites
  • Lead the product validation documentation, inspection reports, and training of co-workers in operations
  • Collaborate in multidisciplinary project teams and inspire team members and management partners to strive for alignment, business perspective and high performance
Requirements
  • Min 3 years of experience in leadership and product development preferably in high volume environment
  • MSc degree in MSc degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Physics, or equivalent
  • Strong leader who can inspire a team and overcome challenges when under time pressure
  • Experience in selection and introduction of inspection equipment
  • Proficient in reading/interpreting engineering drawings and geometric dimensioning
  • Knowledge in semiconductor technologies is an advantage
  • Familiarity with testing tools, reliability tests and analysis, FMEA, Gage R&R, SPC and other statistical modeling
  • Self-motivated, proactive, pragmatic and eager to grow
  • Strong planner and executer
  • Quick thinker, creative, persistent & empathic
  • Proficiency in English and German desired
