Head of IoT and Smart Products

For our client we are seeking an experienced Head of IoT and Smart Products. In this position you would be responsible for the conceptualization, implementation, and support of our IoT Smart Products globally. You would also work closely with the hardware development and marketing teams.

Joining the team, your responsibilities will include the following:

• Work with the extended IT management team to contribute to the direction and strategy of Global IT
• Lead global project conceptualization, implementation, and support of IoT Smart Products
• Work closely with hardware development and marketing teams to bring the best products enabled by IoT to the market
• Ensure feasible integration of IoT products into our business processes to create differentiating value for our customers
• Implement strategic development plans with our business units and translate them into value-generating IT capabilities
• Lead, coach and recruit team members, ensuring outstanding results and personal growth

What you should bring to be a successful candidate:

• PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Information Technology
• At least 5 years of experience in developing IoT-enabled products in a globally oriented team, including application or technology affinity and background within product marketing and product development
• Successful experience in leading a team and passionate about people management, development, and coaching
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to successfully perform in a global matrix environment and demonstrated ability in stakeholder management
• Creative, innovative, and open-minded character
• Fluent in English

Please note that interviews would be conducted mainly remotely, however the role is based 100% in Switzerland therefore relocation is essential.
