Your field of responsibility


In your role as Head Risk Management for the Swiss Fund Management Company of Credit Suisse (Credit Suisse Funds AG) you will be responsible vis-à-vis it’s Management Committee, Board and Finma, for all risk-related topics covering the CHF 400 bn Swiss funds business.
You assure regulatory compliance of risk management setup and day-to-day risk management both with regard to the individual funds (product risk) as well as regarding firm risk. Furthermore you de-fine the overall Risk Management Framework and Risk Management policies for the Management Company in collaboration with internal and external entities into an aggregated and consistent ap-proach. You act as a gatekeeper from risk management perspective for new fund / product types, financial instruments and new service offerings, both for liquid and illiquid / alternative funds.
In your function you represent Risk Management CSF in relevant committees internally (e.g. boards), externally within the fund industry (AMAS, auditors, etc.) and towards sophisticated institutional in-vestors and clients and will be a Member of the management committee of CS Funds AG and re-sponsible for Risk Management vis-à-vis Finma, as such this corresponds to a ‘Senior Director’ po-sition.

Our team consists of specialists with proven expertise in both liquid and alternative investments, fund regulation and financial modeling. The risk management function for the funds business within Asset Servicing, is responsible from a regulatory point of view regarding all relevant aspects towards the regulator. As such you connect with your colleagues in similar roles in Luxembourg and Ireland and will have close interaction with the Risk Services team, that provides a lot of analyses and tools, for you to be able to fulfill your job. You have a small team within CS Funds AG that supports you in your regulatory duty. On a regular basis you will have close interaction with the board of our Swiss Fund Management company. Your skills and experience


As our future colleague you will bring with you:

  • 7-10 years of experience in the field of Liquid and Alternative Investments, either gained with an Asset Manager or Asset Servicing / Fund Management company entity
  • Proven experience as a risk management executive of a Finma-regulated (or equivalent, e.g. CSSF) entity, ideally a Swiss Management Company (Fund Management), additional experience as Portfolio Manager beneficial
  • University degree in Finance or post graduate studies in Finance / Risk Management
  • Proven know-how of relevant investment structures and regulations
  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
  • Very good people management and communication capabilities
  • Solid IT and project management know-how, e.g. with Risk Metrics
  • Specific additional education such as FRM, CFA, CIIA strongly recommended
  • Fluent in German and English; French is an additional asset
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives
