Your field of responsibility


The main objective is to ensure a stable, secure Batch Production environment. The Batch Administrator is responsible for planning, coordination and execution of events, tasks and special activities together with our Batch stakeholders.
The role provides a proactive advisory service to other Batch teams, to the Application Development and other internal and external stakeholders.

  • Control and maintenance of all Batch Services for operations in different environments
  • Coordination of operational procedures (work processes) in production.
  • Localize, isolate and remedy complex issues and problems
  • Initiate Incident-, Escalation- and Problem Management Procedures
  • Implementation and initiation of Tuning- and Performance measures for Batch Processes
  • Monitoring of Business Service Level Agreements

The team Batch Planning, QA and Incident Management is a key driver to ensure a stable execution of our Batch End of Day as well as Batch special processing cycles. Any delay or incompleteness usually impacts the Bank’s business (e.g. partial or full outage of a banking service).

Your skills and experience


Besides the ability to work independently, also a close collaboration with other IT partners is required. As fast first line support Batch Incident Manager, the role also requires the attribute to drive activities and actions without having direct management authority (immediate actions, workarounds, to come to a decision etc).

  • Knowledge in Mainframe z/OS and distributed platforms
  • Advanced tool knowledge with Control-M, JCL, JES2, Beta92, TSO/ISPF
  • Advanced know-how in the execution, monitoring and controlling/timing of Batch cycles
  • Practical experience with Service Now, MS Windows & Office
  • Basic software security, infrastructure & network concepts
  • Fluent written and spoken English and German
