We are looking for a motivated investment-savvy person to provide maternity leave cover within our Investment Specialists team in Zurich. This is a 100% position for six to eight months.

Your role

  • working closely with the Investment Specialists team to identify new business opportunities for existing clients and develop appropriate proposals.
  • helping to identify client needs and suggesting relevant investment solutions.
  • keeping abreast of the strategies and solutions presented by the investment platform and translating these into pitches.
  • analysing the performance of client portfolios and suggesting potential changes where appropriate.
  • monitoring client advisory portfolios.
  • placing market orders and ensuring they are executed.
  • keeping abreast of developments in the financial markets and Pictet’s views, research and product range, responding to enquiries in this area from relationship managers and clients, working closely with the investment platform.
  • devising trading ideas based on market analysis and research and turning them into compelling pitches for clients.
  • working closely with the Investment Specialists team to develop portfolio monitoring tools and systems to ensure efficient tracking and evaluation of implemented portfolios.
  • providing all round support for the Investment Specialists team in various client-related activities.

Your profile

  • Bachelor or master’s in Finance or Economics.
  • A postgraduate qualification would be an asset (CIIA or CFA).
  • No more than two years’ professional experience.
  • Highly organised with strong analytical skills as well as a keen eye for detail and an ability to assimilate large amounts of information both quickly and easily.
  • Proficient in Excel (macro programming skills an advantage) and PowerPoint.
  • A definite interest in financial markets and international current affairs.
  • A well-developed service-oriented attitude, together with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A strong team player.
  • Excellent command of German and English.
  • The successful candidate will be required to reside in Switzerland.
