Summary Of Major Responsibilities

The Project Manager, IT will play a key role managing the Software Development Lifecycle process of our International IT Business Solutions, as well as maintaining a comprehensive portfolio of IT projects with clear timelines, scopes, budgets, and resources constraints. The Project Manager, IT will also play a major role in implementing IT International’s best practice in PMO tools, standards, and methodologies. On top of these activities, the Project Manager, IT will work on a blend of local and global IT projects to meet the unique needs of our international teams.

This position is field based in our office in Zug, Switzerland.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders and software teams in both Europe and the U.S. to ensure a smooth and effective delivery of our IT projects portfolio.
• Work on a broad range of projects, including a multi-year implementation of international customer portals and existing and to-be reporting and analytics solutions, as well as some complex company-wide IT migration or new implementation projects.
  

Release Management

• Ensure scheduling, planning, controlling, and communicating the software’s development and delivery process.
• Coordinate between Business, Internal, and External IT teams the deployment of releases as per the schedule and within budget.
• Manage release product backlog prioritization, budget, risks, and resource planning.
• Review and adapt our Release Management process to ensure it remains optimal and in line with the Business and Global IT expectations.
• Manage Business and IT relationships to set and manage expectations.
• Ensure IT International release management process is following Global IT standards.
  

Project Management

• Manage key IT International project scopes, timelines, budget, communication, and resource planning in coordination with established International Business priorities.
• Drive and ensure IT International projects progress and deliveries are on time and within budget and scope.
• Communicate internally to both Business and IT stakeholders on IT project status, risks, milestones, and mitigation plans.
• Coordinate with IT Global project deliveries, timelines, and status updates of IT International projects.
• Work closely with the Business, Internal, and External IT teams on projects deliveries.
  

Project Management Office

• Setup standard best practice in PMO for IT International.
• Introduce new tools, standards, and methodologies for Project Management best practice.
• Manage and maintain IT International projects portfolio and prioritization.
• Setup IT international projects portfolio review process for internal project prioritization and resources allocation.
• Setup and facilitate IT governance.
• Align with IT Global teams to ensure common synergies in the PMO strategy.
• Project manage software engineering, infrastructure, and configuration projects for individual and cross-platform changes.
  
  

Skills

• Apply excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills to accurately track, follow-up, and report on IT projects activities.
• Apply strong facilitation skills to lead IT projects portfolio reviews and elicitation of projects prioritization and trade-offs.
• Apply deep change management skills to implement IT governance of PMO for IT International.
• Overcome challenges to move projects forward; efficiently manages multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  
  

Physical And Travel Requirements

• Ability to travel 15 of work time to meet with vendors, attend meetings at U.S. based company headquarters, and conferences.
• Ability to meet with U.S. based employees during late afternoon/early evening hours.
  
  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Sciences, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field as outlined in the essential duties; or Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field and 2 years of relevant experience as outlined in the essential duties in lieu of Master’s Degree.
• 5+ years of experience managing complex IT projects, release management, and IT projects portfolio management.
• Demonstrated deep understanding and knowledge of IT Project Management, Release Management, and PMO best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple time zones in an independent, yet coordinated, fashion as part of a business or technical group based in a satellite office.
• Demonstrated understanding of regulated industries where data privacy and protection requirements are prioritized.
• Fluent in English language, both oral and written.
• Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
• Right to work in Switzerland without sponsorship.
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working within regulated industries where data privacy and protection requirements are prioritized with clinical and patient data handling and knowledge of EU data privacy requirements for IT.
• Experience working on Salesforce.com, database design and analytics tools.
• Practical systems solution architecture skills.
• Fluent in the German language, both oral and written.
• PMP, CAPM, CSM (Agile), ITIL or any relevant certification.
