Your field of responsibility


As an agile application developer you will work closely with the existing team to learn the current application architecture, design and understand its functionalities and complexities.
Furthermore, you will analyze the product requirements and determine the approach to execute together with the architects. You’ll constantly analyze and improve the performance and quality of the product and team.

Your future colleagues


The Swiss Universal Bank IT (SUB IT) organization is responsible for developing, maintaining and strategically transforming the Swiss Universal Bank’s application portfolio in close collaboration with our business sponsors. SUB IT applications technical landscape has key technologies like Java, Angular 7, Spring Boot Microservices, Big-Data and Mainframes related technologies. There are also products like PEGA, Appway and Wealth Manager Platform. We follow Agile and DevOps methodology to efficiently handle the development and delivery of technology solutions.

You’ll join a new agile scrum team which was established to implement innovative features in the area of Investment Reporting. The team consists of 3 developers, a product owner and a scrum master.

Your skills and experience


To excel in this role, you should possess:

Essential

  • B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science or similar
  • 5+ years’ experience in Java & Microservices (preferably SpringBoot, OpenShift, J2E)
  • 2+ years’ experience in Angular2+
  • Relational database (SQL knowledge)
  • Dedication to fostering an inclusive culture and value diverse perspectives

Preferably

  • Experience in Hibernate Framework, Tomcat
  • Experience with automated software testing
  • Experience with agile software development (Scrum)
  • Experience with financial products / investment reporting
