Technical activity in CNC machine tools

Our client, Rollomatic SA, is a well-known private Swiss company specialised in the design and manufacturing of high-precision CNC machines dedicated to grinding of high-precision cutting tools, cylindrical grinding and laser cutting of ultra-hard materials. High-precision cutting tools made from Rollomatic’s machines are used worldwide in the manufacturing of smartphones, tablets, aircraft, cars and medical devices.

Founded in 1989, Rollomatic is located in Le Landeron, near Neuchâtel in the French-speaking part of Switzerland, and today has approximately 400 employees. Their 12,000 m2 production site incorporates ultra-modern manufacturing equipment and technology. Thanks to its photovoltaic panel installation, Rollomatic is able to produce 50% of its own energy consumption – just one example of the value it places in sustainable development.

Laser Machines Technician

In this exciting and polyvalent position, you will be part of the Laser team, collaborating closely with the technicians manager, the laser R&D team, laser sales team and Rollomatic clients. After an intensive training period at the factory, you will play a pivotal role in the commercial success of laser machines, by ensuring technical pre- and after-sales activities with clients.

Main tasks

  • Collaborate with the R&D and sales team to conduct technical tests for internal projects or customer projects on laser machines
  • In collaboration with the sales engineer, prepare and proceed to demonstration tests during customers’ visits at the factory
  • Support existing or future customers for technical aspects related to laser machines
  • Install laser machines on customer’s sites mainly in Germany, ensure training of users, maintenance and after-sales services

Your profile

  • Technical diploma or equivalent in polymechanics, automation, electromechanics or micromechanics
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in an equivalent position
  • Good background in CNC machine-tools ; background in laser technology is a plus
  • Customer-oriented, good communication skills, high autonomy, flexible and responsible
  • Willingness to travel, mainly to Germany (about 50%)
  • Valid driving licence
  • Fluent in German; good knowledge in French and/or in English
