Our Team

The J.P. Morgan (Suisse) SA Legal Entity Controller Team (JPMS LEC) is part of the Global GPB LEC function. JPMS LEC works closely with peers and other functions across the United States, EMEA and Asia.

LECs are mainly responsible for the integrity (completeness and accuracy) of the financial statements, Swiss and US financial regulatory reporting, General Ledger Controls, and management financial reporting. In addition, LEC are in charge of the Financial Audit and the Statutory Accounts.

The Role

The role offers interaction with different regions. It will be based in Geneva with reporting to the JPMS Controller. There will be development opportunities to work on both US and Swiss financial regulatory reporting and to develop Swiss GAAP/US GAAP and Swiss financial regulatory reporting, Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of accurate annual financial statements, performing quality control reviews
  • Performing Income Statement & Balance sheet variance analysis
  • Actively engaged in the financial audit preparation under local GAAP
  • Preparation of US Financial Regulatory Financial Reporting
  • Preparation and delivery of Swiss financial regulatory reporting submissions
  • Assisting with the End of Month closing & daily controls as required
  • Partnering and supporting LEC India support team
  • Assist with Swiss VAT tax return preparation
  • Control environment review, e.g. User Tool governance, RCSA, procedure governance, record retention

Skills and Qualifications
  • Ability to work in a high demanding/challenging environment

  • Problem-solving and continuous improvement ethos, driven to learn and grow
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Degree in Accounting and Finance related subject
  • A minimum of 4 years of Finance experience in Banking or Financial Services / Audit, preferably in a global private bank framework.
  • Knowledge of Swiss financial regulatory environment and enthusiastic to develop expertise
  • Good knowledge of banking and investment products
  • Experienced with Excel/Access skills required, SAP and Olympic would be a plus
  • Fluent in English and French would be a plus
