We are in partnership with an digital energy company who are focused on products and services that help people work more safely, be more energy efficient and reduce emissions.

They are currently looking for a Linux Product Owner to join their team in the St Gallen office.

The Technology Centre in St. Gallen, as a key-part of the Business Line Industrial Controls and Protection (ICP) in Bonn, focuses on the development, production and sales support of automation products, software and solutions, which are used by well-known machine and plant manufacturers worldwide.

As a Technical Product Owner, you will be the responsible person to manage their Linux Platform roadmap. This position will be part of Automation and Digital Solutions Engineering team within ICP Business. This includes the definition of requirements, aligned with all stakeholders, maintaining the development backlog and define release roadmaps. Additionally, the Product Owner should be the interface from projects into the platform and promote the usage to the engineering and product teams. The Product Owner is responsible for the quality of the platform and the on-time availability of needed releases for product developments and updates.

Your Profile:

• Completed study (HF/FH) in the field of software engineering, systems engineering, electrical engineering or similar
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in Linux projects and 2 years in product ownership
• Software skills in embedded Linux environment: architecture, design, and development
• Experience with working into an Agile team / environment (Scrum)
• Proven hands-on experience with electronics devices development, product development processes and validation
• Knowledge of cybersecurity and data encryption
• Knowledge of HW embedded electronics (MPU/MCU) is a plus
• Experience with coaching and guiding software teams on a technical and functional level
• Experience with distributed teams on multiple international locations
• Good command of English in spoken and written, German of advantage
