Job Description

Job Purpose:

The Manager Commercial Marketing - DACH, Scandinavia & Middle East is responsible for leading and driving effective marketing strategy and execution comprising of brand activation for Wholesale and Owned Retail in EMEA in coordination with the Global and local marketing objectives and calendar. Also, responsible for developing and managing the day-to-day local executions of the global point of sale strategy in close partnership with the sales and visual merchandising teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and strategize the 1 to 3 year EMEA Commercial Marketing strategy in line with the (long term) corporate priorities.
  • Lead and execute seasonal marketing strategies for our DTC channels, which are aligned with our brand priorities and positioning, to increase traffic (to store and online) and drive revenue goals.
  • Prepare locally relevant integrated commercial retail campaign to maximize local commercial peaks. This in close collaboration with the Digital Team Lead.
  • Develop relevant end to end go-to-market strategies for trade partners in EMEA (UK, Germany, France, Nordics, Eastern Europe, Southern Europe, Benelux, Middle East) in close partnership with commercial team: execute seasonal marketing strategies for our trade partners that are aligned with brand priorities and positioning, WHS segmentation and revenue goals.
  • Working closely with community and brand teams on driving growth of consumer database and VIP program, and driving new instore activations for local community relevance.
  • Collaborate with peers to share best practices and improve processes.
  • Identify market and store specific opportunities and recommendations for marketing initiatives to drive awareness and reach new relevant audiences (including the NSO)
  • Manage the topline relationship and expectations with external supplier to ensure optimal execution and increased value creation from these partners
  • Be the go-to team for Brand and PR teams on retailer support across campaign creative, content, distribution, sales and any other relevant information
  • Communicate marketing and relevant display requirement to field VM team
  • Close budget management, reporting and analysis against all retailer activity
  • Create seasonal reports on activity with sales figure, engagement and ROI
  • Ongoing management and development of the Commercial marketing specialist
  • Perform performance reviews in line with the company process

Experience, Education and Designations:
  • Minimum +5 years’ experience in management position in a global consumer goods company
  • University degree in Marketing or General Business or Arts

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:
  • Industry – Ideally in luxury apparel / fashion / shoes / outdoor
  • Strong quantitative skills – forecasting / budgeting
  • Ability to develop compelling, insight-based strategic proposals and present them effectively and persuasively, especially with senior management
  • Experience in strategic planning and project/process management strong
  • A genuine passion for Canada Goose and an understanding of consumer perception
  • Strong stakeholder and peer to peer relations specifically with the sales and VM functions

  • Bachelor degree or above
