Product Compliance Expert

The Product Compliance Expert is part of the Group Sustainability Team. Together with the team, his/her responsibilities are to ensure compliant products, product documentation, and processes according to assigned regulations and standards for new products and existing product portfolios. This includes regulation and standard-driven requirements directly concerned during the complete product life cycle from design, purchasing, production, distribution, market, and end of life.

Your tasks

• Participate in the definition, steering and assurance of the Group product compliance framework with processes, tools and reporting
• Technical and administrative support of the Compliance Steering Team
• Monitor and analyze new and changing product compliance regulations/ standards, execute impact assessment and review business cases and ensure proper documentation and implementation
• Responsible for material compliance category, such as chemical regulations and hazardous substances, mainly on EU REACH reporting and related topics regarding substance restrictions
• Responsible for data management and support for our material/ substance database
• Develop and deliver information and trainings within the organization
• Support for compliance-related customer inquiries related to assigned regulations/ standards and assist with compliance cases
• Coordinate, communicate and align with internal experts
  

Your profile

• Degree in engineering, material or natural sciences (BSc or MSc); chemical knowledge would be an asset
• Methodological and technical knowledge as well as practical experience in product compliance and regulatory environment
• Experience working in interdisciplinary and project-oriented cross-functional teams
• Well organized and capable to work in a well-structured way; ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong communication skills in English and German, persuasive and motivating personality with good assertiveness and high decision-making ability
• Ability to work in a team and service-oriented thinking and acting, independent, and reliable working style
• Strong affinity with IT systems (such as MS Office, SharePoint, ERP etc.) and data management tools
