Your job title is Product Manager, and you will be a member of the Product Management team in the Technologies Department, reporting to the Head of Product Management.

The Product Management team’s core responsibility is to manage the product portfolio and the product lifecycle of Speedgoat solutions, mainly Speedgoat real-time target machines and I/O modules.

We define the product strategy and roadmap in collaboration with the management and development teams, set the direction for new developments, and create and prioritize product features and capabilities. We are committed to guaranteeing the success of a product, bridging the gap between different departments, and ensuring that products are successfully launched to market. We also take ownership of product pricing and positioning and collaborate in promotion and commercialization activities.

We closely collaborate with the Technologies teams, Production, Markets and Sales, but also with all other departments, and external partners and suppliers.

Our goal is to help increase profitability and competitiveness by ensuring we have the right products to meet our customers’ and market requirements.

Responsibilities

You support the activities in the Product Management team and take product-management-ownership for all I/O modules with dedicated functionalities (analog I/O, digital I/O, communication protocols, sensor interfaces, etc.). Your core responsibilities are as follows:

  • Translate business strategy and market needs into product strategies and product requirements.
  • Identify and fill product gaps to grow market share and opportunities.
  • Create and drive project schedule, monitor development progress ensuring cost, timeline, and quality requirements are met.
  • Manage and plan the product lifecycle, including product changes, maintenance, and sunsets.
  • Manage the product portfolio, positioning, and pricing strategies, ensuring profitability and competitiveness.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers for product specifications.
  • Plan and drive product launches.
  • Support Sales and Market departments by providing the necessary product information and knowledge for technical solution proposals, promotions, and market positioning.

Job Requirements

  • University degree in engineering or equivalent education.
  • Preferably with work experience or additional training in technical product management or project management.
  • Technical knowledge of analog and digital interfaces, communication protocols or sensor interfaces.
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with new technologies and industry standards.
  • Knowledge of real-time simulation and testing is desirable.
  • Reliable, and able to take ownership, work independently and drive product launches.
  • Sharp critical, technical, and communication skills in English (written and spoken), and ability to build relationships, solve problems, make decisions, and build consensus.
  • Excellent organizational skills and strong entrepreneurial spirit.
