Product reliability is your passion. Your many years of experience in the field of product reliability and reliability management will build further on our success. Embedded in an international research and development team, you introduce state of the art processes and development standards that ensure RAMS throughout the product’s lifetime. With your experience in RAMS processes and methods, you will lead the emerging reliability competence area at Sonova R&D and ensure that these processes are aligned and lived at all development sites.

Your tasks

  • Develop and lead the RAMS competence area at Sonova R&D
  • Setup, introduce and manage a strategic RAMS program as well as RAMS processes and methods for product development
  • Demonstrate impact of RAMS processes on safety, quality and cost
  • Ensure Voice of the Customer on our product reliability is used in the development processes
  • Support data-driven reliability analysis of existing and future products
  • Collaborate with other departments and international R&D sites to strengthen RAMS engineering at Sonova

Your profile

  • M.Sc./PhD degree in engineering disciplines or natural sciences with an additional education in the field of product reliability (e.g. certified Reliability Black Belt)
  • 10+ years of professional work experience in the field of RAMS in a R&D environment with a track record of successfully ended projects and tasks
  • Experienced in modern reliability methods commonly used in product development, such as statistical analysis of failure data, reliability test planning/DoE, (D)FMEA, DRBFM, FTA
  • Strong practical experience in organizational change management
  • Preferably experienced in leading projects or small teams
  • Work experience in the medical device industry is a plus
  • Profound communication skills in English, German is a plus
