Your field of responsibility


Join us as a Senior Relationship Manager in our Commodity Trade Finance team. Together with the Transaction Manager you build a strong Front Office team in Geneva and take over the responsibility to develop and maintain a portfolio of clients composed of commodity trading companies based in Switzerland and abroad with the main focus on the Energy business. You conduct new client acquisition, sales activities, and negotiations; put transactional credit lines in place including the related legal documentation in collaboration with Risk Management and Legal; ensure that all compliance related aspects of the relationships have been addressed and accepted as per Credit Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd’s rules; promote collaboration with the deal team, Risk Management, Legal, Product Specialists and the clients; take advantage of one bank (cross-selling) opportunities which can be offered to the clients; as part of the deal team act as clients’ main contact point and to ensure client satisfaction with rapid handling of transactions/opportunities; continuously enhance the client, market and commodity related know-how.

Your skills and experience


You’ll be a good match, if you have:

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in commodity trade finance in a similar position
  • In depth market knowledge and profound understanding of the international Commodity Trade Finance (modus operandi, documents involved, documentary products, risk evaluation)
  • Excellent relationship with clients and ability to identify client needs
  • Solid financial analysis knowledge and legal understanding
  • The ability to lead and coordinate complex negotiations with external and internal counterparts
  • Strong analytical, written and oral communication skills to analyze, structure and promote complex commodity finance transactions
  • A strong ability and willingness to work in a team as well as to share know-how
  • Fluency in English required; proficiency in French as well as other European languages is a plus
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities and tasks, along with orchestrating results across a diverse group of internal partners
  • A university degree in economics, business administration or college diploma with higher education
