The Senior Wealth Planner Switzerland is the country specific subject matter expert responsible to address (primarily Swiss) clients wealth planning needs and objectives - including relocation to and within Switzerland & structuring through companies, trust, foundations, Family office, insurance solutions and other constellations.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Work directly with CROs and clients (&prospects) to support clients on their wealth planning related needs
  • In specific support in succession and estate planning, relocation, tax & philanthropic planning as well as corporate restructuring
  • As CH subject matter expert, conduct awareness training/discussions with EFG CROs and other internal functions on relevant technical product/market updates relevant to the wealth planning space
  • Work with EFG Wealth Solutions (trustees) to facilitate the establishment of EFG trust structures for clients, when appropriate
  • Work with all relevant parties (internal and external to EFG) to assist in the processing and closure of wealth planning cases with CH focus or nexus
  • Develop and maintain strong network of external advisors (Lawyers, Accountants, etc), Insurance brokers and other counterparties with a particular focus on the Swiss market
  • Work closely with the Global Head of Wealth Planning on the achievement, monitoring and regularly reporting of financial performance and business development efforts
  • Contribute to content for publications etc generated by Global Wealth Planning team

Qualifications and Skills Requirements

  • Proven working experience of at least 10 years within Swiss focused wealth planning (financial planning, tax, inheritance) ideally in a private bank/trust company/ insurance brokerage/law or accounting firm
  • In-depth knowledge, understanding and experience of (a) the uses of offshore jurisdictions and wealth planning tools such as trusts, foundations, Family office and companies and (b) UHNW insurance solutions
  • University degree in Law or Finance related discipline; holding additional qualifications linked to the area of interest (e.g., TEP, LL.M. in tax);
  • Sound proven knowledge of the tax, legal & regulatory landscape in Switzerland
  • High client -and service- orientation as well as strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills on all levels
  • Strong organizational skills, structured approach, strict adherence to compliance requirements.
  • Committed team player with a good interpersonal skill set
  • Strong ability to cope under pressure, a great level of flexibility combined with a strong motivation and hands-on attitude
  • Strong risk awareness and the willingness to work in an international, fast paced environment
