Your field of responsibility


As a strategic buyer you are responsible to drive and execute a strategic portfolio of procurement projects related to IT Professional Services categories. You’ll be collaborating closely with all other team members across the globe, to manage and enhance the global category strategy for IT Professional Services. You use the opportunities to drive innovation within the Procurement organization and with your business partners to increase productivity/efficiency and contribute to the Bank’s transformation In order to to be successful in this role you thrive to gain support and acceptance by demonstrating Procurement value/process to respective initiatives at senior levels within Procurement and the wider CS organization (C-level independent interaction required) and become a central point of contact for business stakeholders. It is key to develop credibility and operate as a strategic buyer and subject matter expert in order to build effective and cooperative alliances externally with key vendors and support managing those vendor relationships from a commercial and strategic perspective. There’s a great opportunity to work extensively with the banks senior management / COOs across divisions and functions to drive value provided by Strategic Procurement.

Your skills and experience


We are looking for talented and committed individuals ready for exciting new challenges

  • Significant experience of strategic procurement, developing sourcing category strategies and executing complex transactions in the area of IT Professional Services
  • Significant experience in IT Professional Services project structures, business case production and review, included but not limited to scoping, pricing models utilized, performance measurements including setting service standards, SLAs and associated KPIs
  • Drive successful vendor contract negotiations and risk-mitigated contract creation/ documentation, liaising and collaborating with all relevant stakeholder groups across the bank (legal, tax, compliance control groups, finance, IT, etc.) to ensure contractual risk mitigation and compliance
  • Strong negotiation skills evidenced by a track record of negotiating cost savings from multi-million dollar deals e.g. multi-year outsourcing deals
  • Ability to analyze markets and gather intelligence on market conditions and supply/demand drivers
  • Strong relationship-management skills and proven track record in being able to strategically advise and drive internal business clients and their strategies
  • Solid awareness / understanding of market innovations and how to apply these innovations in order to drive impactful sourcing strategies
