Then this opportunity could be for you!

You will plan the full cycle project infrastructure and design, decide which components the system will comprise – either preconfigured, or developed from scratch. For some parts of the solution, there will be an opportunity to create proofs-of-concept, participate in pre-sales, consult clients, conduct audits of existing systems to evaluate their effectiveness and determine whether and how they can be improved.

You will focus on defining and developing operational and infrastructure strategy within agile and DevOps environments. Working across all platforms within the customer to deliver key services with the highest levels of availability, security and resilience for the entire the customer’s business application landscape.

We are now looking to add a professional to our growing team, based in Zug.

Responsibilities

• Design large-scale solutions with deep technical details
• Closely work with business in identifying project requirements
• Perform architecture review/audit
• Establish project necessities and goals to "go-live" solution
• Participate in the full cycle of pre-sale activities
• Provide RFP processing
• Directly communicate with customers during solution architecture design or implementation activities
• Follow industry trends and maintain a strong interest in emerging technologies and best practices
• Serve as an architect across technologies both on-prem and cloud
• Balance between delivering quickly, maintaining change control as well as managing incidents and problems
• Own the infrastructure overview to ensure resilience, performance and control over costs
• Assess, advise, plan and implement transition of existing infrastructure to AWS cloud while owning and maintaining current on-prem infrastructure during transition
• Own and improve components shared across entire platform such as: system message handling, mailing and mail processing, feed generation etc.)
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
  
  

Requirements

• Excellent record of academic achievement, ideally Bachelors, MSc in Computer Science or other scientific or quantitative discipline
• At least 7-9 years of experience in owning, developing and maintaining complex technical infrastructure
• Demonstrable theoretical and practical architecture design skills
• Good working knowledge with system, application, security and data architecture
• Good understanding of infrastructure and IT operation
• Extensive cloud platform experience with Amazon Web Services
• Good working knowledge of multiple database platforms such as MSSQL, Oracle, Sybase, MySQL, PostgreSQL, DB2 and MongoDB
• Good working knowledge of designing systems for optimal performance and efficiency
• Good working knowledge of usual processes such as disaster recovery, backup and restore, migrations and upgrades, replication, clustering and high availability, security, and auditing
• Good working knowledge of infrastructure as a code with Terraform and configuration management
• Good working knowledge of cloud technologies, virtualization, and containerization
• Good working knowledge of networking, security, and storage management
• Practical experience with Microsoft infrastructure
• Experience using GitLab or comparable platform
• Fluent English

• Certification by IASA, OGC(ITIL), ISACA(COBIT)
• DBA certification from Microsoft, Oracle or IBM
• Certification by Microsoft, AWS or Google for cloud solution architecture
• Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
