Join us now and help shape the future of agriculture.Job DescriptionThis role can be based either in Basel, Switzerland or Jealott’s Hill, Bracknell, UK.In Crop Protection R&D, we design and evolve cutting-edge data and digital capabilities to allow us to access, connect, share and harness our R&D data at an unprecedented scale and pace. We cover a wide spectrum of data from early research (chemistry and biology research data) to open field IoT (environmental sensors, drones), and digital technologies ranging from generative AI and omics to text and image mining and analysis. We firmly believe in FAIR, shared and connected data products, agile delivery, open source and growth for all.At the same time, we are on a journey to foster a more data-driven and digital-first culture across R&D, increasing the data savviness of the organization, as well as encouraging an openness to new ways of thinking, working and innovating with digital, data and analytics with tangible impact on our R&D pipeline.We are looking for a Digital Upskilling lead to design, lead, deploy and maintain strategic data literacy and digital upskilling initiatives in CP R&D in close partnership with the R&D functions, HR and Learning and Development teams. You will act as a translator, champion and ambassador of our data platforms, connected data products, analytics and digital tools across R&D. Your will also drive adoption and value realization via outreach, change management, training, and communications.Key accountabilities and expectationsYou Will Be Accountable For

• Working with digital leads to understand the needs for digital literacy and upskilling in the R&D functions
• Capturing and documenting requirements from different personas and job roles on data and digital literacy, fluency, and mastery. Design and lead R&D-wide and tailored initiatives in partnership with digital literacy platforms and suppliers and internal leads and subject matter experts
• Defining and maintaining learning pathways for the different personas and makes sure content is fit for purpose and up to date.
• Defining, measuring and monitoring KPIs for adoption and success of digital literacy and upskilling programs
• Coordinating comms and change management initiatives around data/digital literacy and upskilling to ensure uptake, adoption, and impact in R&D
• Forging networks of digital leads, data champions and change leads in the R&D functions to drive engagement and adoption
• Championing the use of our data platform, data products, analytics and digital tools. Working with data experts and digital leads to share best practices, drive enablement and adoption of these capabilities
• Setting up outreach and comms campaigns to raise awareness, educate and train data experts and business leaders alike, including running workshops, hackathons and seminars
• Championing and promoting a data-driven, digital-first culture across all levels and roles in CP R&D
• Scouting and bringing external expertise and partnerships on digital upskilling.

Qualifications

• significant experience in a combination of science-driven R&D, digital, data, transformation, change, outreach, or upskilling
• Digital and data subject matter expert with product and programme management experience, ideally with strong R&D experience and network
• Credible with peers & senior leaders and sponsors
• Passionate about the importance of increased digital literacy as a catalyst of R&D strategy
• Ability to challenge, shape and influence the way things are done
• Ability to self-direct and take on broad, R&D-wide projects from beginning to end
• Digital mindset – agility, courage, creativity, data driven and experimental (think big, start small, scale fast)
• Understands human elements of driving transformative and disruptive change in behaviour and mindset
• Highly sophisticated and adaptable influencing and communication skills
• Ability to build networks across regions, cultures, and countries
• Demonstrable track record of complex delivery and impact.
