Your area of responsibility
You will calculate and design electric machines and e-drives with power ratings up to several 100kW according to customer requirements. The optimal function and control of electrical machines is ensured by system simulation in e.g. Simulink.
Your Responsibilities
  • Electromagnetic design with JMAG and MotorCAD
  • Thermal calculations
  • Calculation of machine characteristics and application specific behavior
  • Ensuring the producibility of the electric machines with their manufacturing partners
  • Ensuring the reliability of the electrical machines through design
  • Coordinate design with mechanical design and system engineering colleagues.
  • Definition and further development of processes and tools in the area of electrical machines
  • Supervision / coordination of tests on the test bench
You will be involved in the whole development process, from specification, design, construction, manufacturing and assembly to validation and commissioning.
A close contact with customers extends the practical experience with e-machines and their interaction with the converters.
Your profile
  • You have a FH/ETH degree in engineering. You have gained some years of professional experience, ideally in the development of e-machines
  • A very independent way of working and very good knowledge in FEA and simulation tools such as JMAG or Ansys as well as the handling of Matlab/Simulink and Python are indispensable
  • You bring good knowledge of materials and manufacturing methods for electrical machines
  • You communicate confidently in English, good German language skills are advantageous
