Electro-Mechanical CAD/PLM Engineer

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

The CAD/PLM Engineer creates value through ensuring the technical development and application of model and simulation-based tools for the development of new components and systems for the global elevator business.

In this perspective, the CAD/PLM engineer is the key team member to interface PLM / CAD activities with up-stream and down-stream collaborative teams like Simulia team as well as Mechanical, Electric and Electronic teams, along with the product development process.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design Electro-Mechanical methodology
  • Create documentation for Electro-Mechanical design methodology and provide trainings
  • Support and execute POC, support SR and ER for Dassault
  • EKL rule and design template creation including automation aspects
  • Made-to-order BOM working closely with Engineering, Manufacturing, Corporate Purchasing, Product Management
  • Assist with development, compliance and documentation of CAD standards, procedures and best practices to improve CAD models and drawings creations and reviews, including model-based definition
  • Support, execute and supervise migration activities as well as change management and support and develop solution outline for mechanical design and library migration
  • Develop strategies for data migration and/or integration with 3DExperience
  • Review and assure quality of migrated data
  • Ensure migration as per newly developed Electro-Mechanical design methodology

Further requirements may include:

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Professional experience as Design Engineer
  • Experience in Digital Transformation Projects
  • Excellent Catia V6 or 3D Experience tools expertise
  • Experience on 3D Experience
  • Catia Design template and product table know how
  • Excellent knowledge of designing and Engineering Systems and components in 3dExperience
  • Model based definition, Parametric modelling, Top down approach
  • Experience in collaboration with PLE, Manufacturing
  • Ability to work with remote teams
  • Excellent communicator and motivator
  • Computer Science background
  • Fluent in English, knowledge in German is a plus
