Job PostingEdwards Lifesciences is looking for a Talent Acquisition Directorwho will contribute by building and executing the recruiting strategy to deliver professional levels of talent for key functions across the EMEA, Canada and Latin America region. This role is an unique opportunity to be a part of Global Talent Acquisition’s mission to deliver talent essential to Edwards’ innovation and leadership in providing breakthrough technologies to help patients live longer, healthier lives.Key responsibilities include:
  • Team Leadership:
    • Hire, guide, train, coach and develop skilled recruiting leaders and recruiters to deliver the right talent on time
    • Provide strategic consulting and recommendations to effectively navigate challenges and capitalize on opportunities
    • Consistently track and measure results against needs and goals and make course correction when needed
  • Strategy:
    • Listen, learn and understand the business strategy
    • Collaboratively design talent acquisition strategies and plans to support the business
    • Analyze recruiting and market information to proactively identify trends and/or opportunities
  • Regional Integration:
    • Strategic integrator, sitting on both the regional HR leadership team and the global Talent Acquisition leadership team
    • Identify, define and prioritize talent acquisition needs for the region
    • Build connections, bringing the right people together to address business needs
    • Facilitate feedback loops
  • Recruiting & Projects:
    • Lead key searches at the Senior Director and VP level
    • Manage regional projects in alignment with the overall talent acquisition strategy and project portfolio
    • Participate in global projects
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree preferred
  • A minimum of 12 years’ progressive experience in recruiting technical talent for large companies with a focus on strategy, innovation, workforce planning, analytics, and systems
  • A minimum of 5 years management/people leadership experience
  • Proven track record of building and managing teams, and managing local and remote teams
  • Proven ability to succeed in a complex, dynamic, and challenging environment with an emphasis on leading a function to become more strategic and consultative
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills including high discretion/judgment in decision-making
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Proven successful record of people development and management experience
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Significant experience in medical device, pharmaceutical or healthcare recruiting
