Job Overview

The Enterprise Architect proactively and holistically helps and guides the Enterprise Leaders, Product Area Managers, Product Owners and Product Delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives, supporting the formulation of technology strategy, outcomes, and capabilities.

The Enterprise Architect’s scope of activities includes helping the organization achieve targeted business outcomes related to optimizing costs and mitigating risks. The focus is on supporting the development of the business and Technology strategy when it comes to enterprise architecture of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Formulation of Strategy and Guides Execution
  • Build the EA value proposition, contributing to positioning the EA practice as an internal management consultancy, offering services and skills to support the development and execution of business strategy and business processes working closely with product managers and product owners
  • Be part of a collaborative community of Architects, drive the evolution of the EA teams services and operating model. Coach and mentor other Architects, Product Owners/Managers and business stakeholders to instill architectural thinking
  • Lead analysis of the business future-state capabilities and future (and current) IT environment to detect critical gaps and opportunities and recommend solutions for improvement to drive the business towards its targeted outcomes
  • Collect, Analyze, Review and Refine Innovations, Trends, Disruptions and Opportunities
  • Support Portfolio Modernization and Develop Roadmaps, maintain the alignment, integration, and coordination of architecture activities across different programs, projects, products and processes as they evolve over time. Keeping track of applications and their evolution within his/her scope of responsibility, reviewing the landscape under the scope of responsibility
  • Develop and apply minimal viable architectures, which can include a set of standards, reference architecture patterns, principles, and guardrails, through the EA governance model, which is informed by the business strategy and corporate governance. Clarify accountability and provide the focal point for agile, effective, and efficient decision making
  • Facilitate a collaborative relationship across architecture community, product management and product delivery teams by providing freedom-in-a-box for decision making, with the minimal viable architecture forming the boundaries
  • Work closely with our Maisons, Group Functions and Regions to build this minimal viable architecture

HOW WILL YOU EXPERIENCE SUCCESS WITH US?

This role requires proven experience (5-10 years) and maturity in the below skills:

  • Worked on and designed Applications and solutions in the areas of Manufacturing, Logistics, Warehousing, Product lifecycle Management as well as areas like Supply Chain, Finance, Human Resources, Legal
  • Demonstrate mastery of processes in Logistics, Manufacturing, Product Lifecycle Management, Warehousing, and general Supply Chain
  • Experience in ERP migration with SAP S4HANA or knowing end2end manufactured goods product life cycle with related architecture transformation is a big plus
  • Good understanding of strategic and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing and emerging technologies to new and evolving business and operating models
  • Good understanding of product management, agile principles, and development methodologies. Capability of supporting agile teams by providing advice and guidance on opportunities, impact, and risks, taking account of technical and architectural debt
  • Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies, and roadmaps
  • Excellent analytical, planning, and organizational skills
  • Balance the long-term (“big picture”) and short-term implications of individual decisions and organization goals
  • Estimate the financial impact of EA alternatives and applies multiple solutions to business problems
  • Ready to think, behave and act in an innovative consulting manner to drive the organization’s digital business strategies
  • Understand and speak the language of the business. Excellent written, verbal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to articulate new ideas and concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Highly innovative with aptitude for foresight, systems thinking and design thinking
  • Practical in approach to problem solving and decision making, in line with architectural principles, governance, and standards
  • Skilled at influencing, guiding, and facilitating stakeholders and peers with decision making
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and guide cross-functional teams on architectural topics
  • Technology neutral: remains unbiased toward any specific technology or vendor choice and is more interested in results than personal preferences
  • Display intellectual curiosity and integrity
  • Fluent in English a must, fluent in French a benefit
