We are looking for an Equity Research Editor to complement our publication team, to be based in Küsnacht. The Editor will work with analysts, including non-native English writers, other research reviewers, and graphic designers in preparing investment case reports and other publications for our demanding clients.

Tasks include:

• Ensure that 2Xideas publications meet quality standards required for distribution.
• Review/edit/correct detailed equity investment case and industry insight reports for clarity, accuracy, and style, in US English and in conformity with the 2Xideas style guide.
• Provide guidance to analysts, other reviewers, and graphic designers, steering reports from kick-off through publication according to a tight schedule.
• Manage review and production of multiple report projects in parallel, evaluating each upon completion.
• Support production of other 2Xideas publications, such as investment case updates, logbooks, quarterly library guides, quarterly Fund reviews, etc.

Required skills

• Higher education (at least Bachelor’s degree); voraciously curious and widely read.
• Intense pursuit of clarity, accuracy, economy, and elegance in writing and storytelling.
• Exacting standards in grammar, spelling, style, and address to an investor audience of educated non-experts.
• Proofreading: eagle eye for mistakes and inconsistencies, also in documents of 200+pp.
• High solution and service orientation; no compromise to delivery of top-quality product.
• Affinity for financial markets, preferably with experience in preparing, editing, and distributing detailed equity research reports.
• Experience as an equity analyst, supervisory analyst, or qualifications that include CFA or FINRA Series 7, 86/87, 24 or 16 would be welcome.
