(CEN) QUALITY SPECIALIST

Job Description

Plan, coordinate and execute activities related to the laboratory & Quality assessments according to the ARE guidelines and the Quality Index in order to ensure the laboratories reliability and QI performance in our operations.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate the laboratory assessments according to the ARE program results in order to achieve higher reliability.
• Coordinate the ARE assessments action plan execution with the quality managers to ensure integral problem solving within the cement plants
• Perform on-site ARE & Quality Index assessments to improve overall Quality performance of the operations.
• Review and correct deviations in Main Quality KPIs, Quality Index, Clinker Factor, Integral Cement, Blended Products, which are levers for our 2030 strategy in CO2 reduction.

Position Challenges

• Maintain & evolve an internal networking with all CEMEX Cement operations.
• Multiple standards and construction culture in the world may condition the deployment of some valuable initiatives
• Identify new chemistry related processes and technologies from the very initial phase, when the most advantage can be taken, but also when information is scarce
• Achieve peers recognition in the field to be able to articulate the network

Qualifications

• English professional proficiency, Spanish an asset.
• Bachelor degree in chemical engineering.
• Areas of experties/Technical skills
  • 1 year experience
  • General understandings of laboratory testing methods.
  • General understanding of Cement process Chemical Reactions.
• Soft Skills
  • Strategic and Analytical thinking, Leadership, moderator, advising, Ethical. presentation skills, self-motivated.
