Mission & Responsibilities
  • The Accountant is responsible for providing financial advice and support to colleagues to enable them to make sound business decisions. The scope involves overseeing the full spectrum of finance, accounting and treasury functions for the Company and includes:
  • identifying and implementing work flow improvements to strengthen internal controls and making recommendations to improve work processes and efficiency;
  • ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records and accounts;
  • working closely with other members of the finance team in monthly closings, budgets and forecasts, as well as monitoring clients’ profitability and operating expenses;
  • managing intercompany transactions, including liaising with overseas finance colleagues on monthly transactions received & sent, approving transactions and performing reconciliations where necessary
  • preparing monthly journals
  • Issuing intercompany recharge invoices
  • Recording intercompany recharge invoices received
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet schedules includes analysing and reconciling balance sheet items
  • Preparing quarterly GST submission
  • assisting with statutory audit, tax and corporate secretarial matters;
  • Preparing monthly P&L for management reporting
  • Reviewing the work prepared by Finance Executives, Accounts Payables Excs and Billing Team
  • assisting in preparation of monthly consolidation
  • assisting in completion of group reporting packages;
  • working closely with holding company situated overseas to ensure reporting is done accurately and timely;
  • performing ad-hoc tasks as assigned by supervisor(s) as and when required.
  • SKILL SETS: What must you have?
    Knowledge, Skills and Experience
    Essential Experience
  • Degree in Finance and/or Accountancy (Chartered Accountant a plus)
  • At least 3 - 4 years of financial, accounting or auditing related experience in MNCs preferred
  • Fluent in speaking and writing German and English. French language is a plus
  • Personal Attributes / Interpersonal Skills
  • Ability to work in a fast pace, highly process driven environment
  • Ability to work alone as well as collaboratively as part of a team
  • Ability to manage difficult situations while still adhering to core finance principles
  • Strong operational discipline and ability to prioritize matters and handle pressure in order to meet tight deadlines
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Meticulous with an eye for detail
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Independent, self-motivated and driven
