A challenging Head of Purchasing role has just become available at one of the largest machine manufacturersOur client is one of the largest construction machine manufacturers in the world. It is also among the leading providers of technology in many.Head of PurchasingKey Responsibilities
  • You are responsible for the disciplinary and technical management of the Purchasing Coordinator and serve as the contact person (Components Division) for materials planning
  • You will be responsible for monitoring the disposition parameters/stocks of the purchased parts and key figures
  • You monitor the backlog recovery plan and conduct escalation meetings with suppliers
  • You will identify and monitor supply chain parts, conclude new contracts and be responsible for the purchase and discontinuation of supply chain components
  • You ensure availability for the launch of assembly and production orders
  • You will be responsible for the production/assembly and collaborate on internal and group-wide purchasing projects
  • You monitor drawing changes in life cycle series and the market in the area of capacities at suppliers
  • You carry out the run-at-rate analysis for suppliers, track improvement measures and participate in supplier evaluations in the area of deadlines and quantities (OTIF).
You define the procurement strategy (utilisation - system parameters - inventory) and optimise purchasing processes and interfaces (e.g. planning/order center)To succeed in the role of Head of Purchasing you need to have at least 3-5 years of experience in a similar position, be an inspiring leader and have an excellent knowledge of at least 2 of the following languages: German, French and EnglishKey Requirements
  • You hold a degree in the field of industrial engineering, business management or equivalent qualification
  • You are specialised in statistics and run-at-rate analysis and have experience in leading teams
  • You already have experience in production and planning, tracking KPIs and as a key user
  • You are proficient in MS Office, MS SharePoint and you have good knowledge of ERP systems
Your personality is characterised by a high degree of independence, flexibility, initiative, reliability and the ability to work in a team
