Introduction

The Mechanical Development Engineer is responsible for the technical concept/design, construction and validation of machines as well as their evaluation with regard to economic efficiency from the idea to the finished product.

Tasks

  • Technical responsibility for design, construction (3D CAD) and validation of product improvements and new developments under consideration of costs, deadlines and quality
  • Sub-project management in multidisciplinary and international development projects
  • Application of creative approaches to concept development
  • Definition of a Requirement for Design based on an agreed technical concept
  • Creation and maintenance of product-specific documents in compliance with applicable regulations, standards and laws

Required qualifications

  • Bachelor´s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics
  • Professional experience in research and development
  • Project responsibility in the dual role of Mechanical Engineer & Project Manager
  • Ability to lead product designers professionally
  • 3D-CAD experience (Inventor preferred)
  • Good knowledge of German and English, both written and spoken
  • Hands-on mentality and analytical & structured way of working

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience with MS Project, Azure DevOps, SAP
  • Experience with Engineering tools (Ansys, MDesign)
