Why not come and join our dynamic team in a great work environment ?MissionProject DescriptionFunctional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI) is a non-invasive technique, which permits recording correlates of neural activity while participants perform behavioral tasks or during rest. However, fMRI is prone to motion artefacts. Similar to when photos are blurred if the object is moving, fMRI cannot reliably measure brain activity if the participant moves during the acquisition. In normal behaving subjects this is rarely the case, as participants can be instructed to remain still. Kids are a particularly sensitive population, as they are more difficult to instruct and more prone to perform involuntary movements; reasons why the minimal age to propose a child to undergo fMRI is from 7y.o. In this project we develop a new technique, Ki-Ck fMRI, capable of reliably measuring fMRI in kids at 6 y.o. and successfully correcting for artefacts, providing a novel tool for kids examination.ProfilYour Profil
  • You have a PhD (or equivalent previous experience) in computer science, informatics, electrical or biomedical engineering, or related field.
  • You certify proficiency in programming (Python, Matlab), Javascript, bash.
  • You are a highly motivated individual with self-initiative, curiosity, appeal for novelty.
  • You have a strong problem-solving attitude, you’re highly organized, you have a strong scientific mindset and self-initiative, as well as a flexible mindset, rigorous work habits, a curious and critical mind, and a good sense of initiative.
  • You have excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
  • Strong experience in image processing, signal processing and MRI is a must.
  • Previous background in resting-state fMRI is desidered.
  • Strong IT and software development, as well as Data management.
  • A high-level perseverance and a strong personal commitment are expected.
  • A strong will to develop clinically actionable methods and to interact with clinicians.
  • You’re a good communicator, you’re willing to supervise students at the Bachelor and Master level, you’re a team-player.
