About the Role
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends and determine changes needed for our Engineering Facultative costing tools.
- Develop and refine calibration processes for pricing tools, with a focus on accuracy and relevance.
- Incorporate industry best practices and emerging trends into the calibration methodology.
- Assist in creating documentation for calibration processes and maintaining comprehensive records.
- Collaborate with senior team members and cross-functional teams to improve and update existing methods.
- Stay updated on industry changes, regulations, and technological advancements impacting calibration.
About the Team
The applicant will be embedded within the Global Engineering Product Centre, in our Specialty business unit, working in a multi-cultural team serving clients around the world. The job requires close collaboration with experts and leaders in our underwriting and actuarial department teams, all part of Swiss Re’s Specialty business.
About You
As a brilliant critical thinker, you’re a naturally detail-oriented professional. Your strong interpersonal skills make it easier for you to work within a team. Flexibility and curiosity play a role in your ability to learn new skills quickly.
- Master student in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organisational skills and self-starter demeanour.
- Proficiency in statistic software as well as Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to dynamic insurance industry requirements.
- Team player who thrives in an international work environment.
- Reliable, open-minded, creative, and enthusiastic.
- Excellent oral and written English. Other languages are a plus.
