Asset Management Deployment Senior Principal Engineer

Janssen Supply Chain is looking to recruit an Asset Management Deployment Lead as part of the Global Engineering & Technology (GET) organization.

This global role is to be based at Schaffhausen, Switzerland and is open to applicants who wish to work part-time (80% of a working week), or who are returning to the workplace after a career break.

Position Summary:

We need a strong leader who can deal with the complexity of a changing environment and business needs to drive asset management excellence across our manufacturing network. You will be an integral member of a global engineering group in a dynamic and inspiring work environment, with broad networking and collaborations across Supply Chain functions and sites offering possibilities for further personal and professional growth.

Responsibilities and the impact you will have:

  • Build and sustain a structured and standardized Asset Management Framework and Program in accordance with ISO55000 to drive robust and dynamic Engineering and Maintenance capabilities and performance;
  • Deploy, monitor and sustain the Asset Management Business Processes across manufacturing sites;
  • Develop and drive the deployment of the Asset Optimization roadmaps and site initiatives;
  • Develop and maintain an Asset Management Knowledge Center as the owner of the ISO55000 business processes
  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact for all Best Practices and Proven Practices;
  • Act as a change agent across maintenance and engineering teams;
  • Actively partner and interact with Operations, Digital Operations & Technical Services, Facilities and other relevant global functions to ensure standard and fit-for-purpose solutions.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Minimum of a Master’s University Degree, or equivalent by experience, required;

Experience and Skills:

  • Minimum 10 years of manufacturing, process engineering, supply chain and capital execution experience in Pharmaceutical or other regulated industries;
  • Highly developed expertise in core areas such as Asset Management, Asset Optimization Methodologies, Asset Reliability Improvement Processes and ISO 55000 standards;
  • Ability to synthesize strategies, business needs, engineering elements, and technology inputs into data driven business solutions;
  • Consistent track record in balancing priorities, and developing and leading the execution of strategy and business transformation initiatives;
  • Ability to work, connect and communicate effectively at both shopfloor and platform level in a sophisticated environment;
  • Intellectual curiosity to challenge the status quo, influence without authority, and cultivate an inclusive & collaborative culture;
  • Proficient in written and spoken English, additional languages (Dutch, Spanish, Italian, German) would be a significant advantage;
  • This position may require up to 25% domestic and international travel.

The Company maintains highly competitive, performance-based compensation programs. Under current guidelines, this position is eligible for an annual performance bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable plan. The annual performance bonus is a cash bonus intended to provide an incentive to achieve annual targeted results by rewarding for individual and the corporation’s performance over a calendar/ performance year. Bonuses are awarded at the Company’s discretion on an individual basis.
