Role

An exciting opportunity to work as a team lead for AI (Deep Learning) solutions in an aerospace technology company that intend to use AI in avionic products to ensure object identification, target tracking and target classification. You will design and develop image recognition and detection software for our UAV vision products, with focus on advanced techniques to provide efficient algorithms that can run-on low-cost platforms. This is a team lead position with multiple opportunities to help define the direction of this exciting technology. We except our team leads to be hands-on into deep technology.

Tasks

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex image classification, object identification.
  • Define and develop the training platforms and setups to train the networks for the object recognition required by the enduser.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, to integrate AI solutions into existing products.
  • Conduct data analysis, preprocessing, and feature engineering to extract valuable insights from large datasets, improving model performance.
  • Stay updated on the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research papers, and tools, incorporating them into AI development projects.
  • Optimize AI models for performance, scalability, and efficiency, leveraging ground based resources and embedded computing resources.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI-driven applications.
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, image processing, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience in AI, neural network development.
  • Experience with version control systems like Git, enabling effective collaboration and code management.
  • (Must Have) Machine Learning and Deep Learning:
  • Proficiency in various machine learning techniques (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning) and deep learning architectures (CNNs, RNNs, GANs).
  • Experience with training, validating, and deploying models, especially those related to image and signal processing.
  • (Must have) Computer Vision:
  • Expertise in image and video analysis, object detection and recognition, and real-time vision systems.
  • Understanding of techniques like feature extraction, image segmentation, and optical flow.
  • (Must Have) Reinforcement Learning and Autonomous Systems:
  • Experience in reinforcement learning, especially in the context of autonomous decision-making and control systems.
  • Understanding of path planning, obstacle avoidance, and dynamic environment interaction.
  • (Must Have) Programming and Software Development
  • Proficiency in programming languages like Python, C, C++, or Java
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
  • (Nice to Have) Sensor Fusion and Signal Processing :
  • Skills in integrating data from multiple sensors (e.g., optical, radar, LIDAR) to improve navigation and targeting accuracy.
  • Knowledge of signal processing techniques for noise reduction and feature enhancement.
  • (Nice to have) Geospatial Data Analysis and Mapping
  • Expertise in handling and integrating geospatial data, such as digital elevation models, satellite imagery, weather data, and RF sources.
  • Proven ability to develop and optimize routes using AI tools, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency in diverse and dynamic environments.
  • Strong skills in geospatial analysis, including mapping, spatial analytics, and the creation of actionable insights from complex geo datasets.
  • Experience in utilizing GIS software and platforms for advanced geospatial data processing and visualization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, crucial for algorithm development and data analysis.
  • Good communication skills, enabling effective collaboration and being able to manage a small team of 2-3 AI software engineers .
