SICTIC connects smart money investors to Swiss seed and early-stage technology startups. Since 2014, our community has grown to more than 500 active angel investors. More than 2200 startups have applied, and more than 800 have been selected to pitch at one of our investor days.

In this role, you will be responsible for planning and executing events from A-Z (“Apero” to “Zoom-Livestream”), delivering a high-quality experience for speakers and participants, as well as strengthening the community experience of our investors.

As a member of a small, all-hands-on-deck team, you will also have to contribute actively to business development efforts and administrative tasks.

Tasks
  • Plan and organize up to 12 pitching events per year in various cities across Switzerland
  • Plan and organize regular social gatherings (lunches, dinners) as well as educational online and offline formats (workshops, webinars, etc)
  • Build and maintain relationships with various event partners - sponsors, hosts, venues, suppliers, etc.
  • Manage the event agenda, logistics, and technology
  • Prepare and host speaker briefings
  • Build and maintain the event slide decks
  • Set up and manage ticketing, signups and attendance lists
  • Help improve systems and processes

Requirements
  • a professional background in event management, hospitality, retail or an NGO
  • a thick skin and at least 3 years of experience working in a multi-stakeholder environment
  • a strong communicator in English. French or German is a strong plus
  • highly organized and you thrive under pressure
  • a clever negotiator who can make magic happen with very limited resources
  • A wizard in presentation tools such as Powerpoint, Google Slides or Canva
  • experience working with event management tools such as B2Match, Eventbrite, Smeetz, IDLoom or similar
  • willing and able to work evenings and travel all over Switzerland
  • A sense of humour in hectic timesrsonality
  • reliable, have good discipline and self-management skills
  • willing and able to work independently and find your own solutions for new problems
  • want to contribute your knowhow to a large project and further develop your skills

Bonus points for
  • Business development, venture capital, sales or marketing experience
  • Experience working with CRM tools
  • A professional network in the event, startup or venture capital industry
  • A sense of humor in hectic times
