Our client is a top international financial institution, and they’re looking for an IBM MQ Administrator to join their team in Zurich, Switzerland! As an IBM MQ Administrator, you’ll be responsible for making sure that the IBM MQ infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

  • You’ll be installing, configuring, and maintaining IBM MQ instances, monitoring performance and health;
  • Troubleshooting issues to keep the servers and queue managers up and running;
  • You’ll also be involved in planning for capacity and disaster recovery, managing access controls and security configurations;
  • Documenting configurations and procedures.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, as well as
  • At least five years of experience as an IBM MQ Administrator.
  • You should also have experience with security hardening, defining and modifying configurations, and implementing MQ objects.
  • General knowledge of scripting (ESQL, Perl, Shell etc.)
  • Linux, Unix knowledge
  • Experience with Agile/SAFe, Clean Code, or ITIL is a plus, as is experience in Banking/Finance.
  • In addition, you should have excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving skills, and be fluent in German and English.
