We are looking for individuals who want to further establish themselves as a Field Service Engineer (f/m/d) in Switzerland and are interested in an opportunity to work in a dynamic and progressive environment.

You will travel and work at a variety of labs, so having an appetite for continuously learning about new instruments, software and consumables is key. Applying communication skills, creativity and can-do demeanour is essential. Have the desire to help solving customer problems and a dedication to deliver the highest-levels of customer service in order to build customer success.

Your Role

As a FSE in the Lausanne area you will be supporting our customers with on-site installation, implementation, maintenance and repair of company product solutions across LC/LC-MS and GC/GC-MS and multi-vendor system solutions. Our varied product lines includes hardware, software, application and networking products as well as operating systems.
  • Install and optimise hardware/software/network products and configurations at customer sites
  • Diagnose and resolve product performance problems
  • Perform maintenance and repairs
  • Ensures customer happiness by guiding and training users on preventive maintenance and configurations, as well as how to effectively use the systems to their advantage
  • Proactively respond to potential equipment issues to prevent unplanned interruption of customers’ business
  • Deliver fully coordinated solutions, which may include peripherals, communications, operating systems and application software.
  • Have the opportunity to share your expertise in order train other Service Engineers across Agilent’s product solutions


You Are An Excellent Candidate If You
  • have a university degree within the science field -- e.g. chemistry, analytical chemistry biochemistry, biotechnology or similar
  • have meaningful experience in analytical techniques (Chromatography, e.g. LC, GC, MS) in a similar position or as an end user.
  • a strong desire to learn and expand your technical and soft skills
  • experience with problem solving in relation to troubleshooting and/or general instrument maintenance
  • knowledge of quality assurance systems such as GLP/GMP, requirements and quality management systems according to ISO 9001/17025 are desirable
  • enjoy travelling, engaging and visiting customers
  • excellent written and verbal French and English communication skills

Apart from these more technical skills, you should also have:
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as a logical approach to problem-solving
  • the ability to coordinate and prioritise your workload efficiently
  • a strong valuation of processes and able to follow them accordingly with strong attention to detail, with the aim to ensure compliance with quality standards
  • the aptitude to handle customer expectations and balance customer requirements with Agilent’s business needs
