• prepare and record journal entries in the general ledger with SAP and support daily & monthly run the bank activities
• ensure complete, accurate and auditable accounting and support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing process (Swiss GAAP FER and IFRS)
• work closely together with Group Tax for the tax calculations and treatment of special cases
• compile and analyze financial information for the UBS asset management companies
• implement accounting controls and manage their governance
• prepare reports for the business and external stakeholders such as governmental organizations and auditors
• collaborate in the continuous improvement of quality, efficiency and effectiveness of processes
• define and setup booking models for new business initiatives and changing regulatory requirements
• support in streamlining existing booking models and processes to implement the next generation accounting and controlling processes
  

Your teamYou’ll be joining the Swiss Regional Controlling team, working closely together with the Fund Management (Switzerland) Business in Basel and Zurich. As a Financial Accountant, you will play an important role making sure the accounting records are accurate and complete. The role covers the full range of accounting tasks from the balance sheet processes, revenue bookings, tax calculation (Income & VAT), monitoring of intercompany bookings, to creating reports and analysis for multiple stakeholders. In addition to supporting already existing processes, you will become a part of a large scale finance transformation project, where you will play a key role in defining the future accounting setup of the Fund Management business.Your expertise

• Bachelor or Master degree in finance or a qualified accountant certification
• ideally previous experience in a similar role as a financial accountant
• a solid knowledge of Swiss GAAP FER,IFRS and local tax regulatory requirements
• Practical experience in SAP FiCo
• strong analytical thinking capabilities as well as excellent problem solving skills, with great attention to detail
• highly organized and strong-hands-on mentality, able to work independently, as well as in a collaborative environment, across teams, functions, and cultures
• motivated, self-directed, creative mindset and adaptable to change
• solid communication and presentation skills in English and German
