The Role

We are looking for a Controller to join the Zattoo Finance Team as a
direct report to the CFO. You will support the team by providing
accounting and controlling expertise for the DTC (Direct-to-Consumer)
line of business, while proactively and professionally executing the
responsibilities and tasks you are assigned to. The position is based in
Berlin, working remotely from the rest of the finance team, based in
Zurich.

Who we are

Zattoo is one of the leading TV streaming providers in Europe with
around 3 million users per month. Founded in 2005, the company employs more than 200 people and has its headquarters in Zurich and an office in Berlin. Users in Switzerland, Germany and Austria watch all popular TV channels in HD and Full HD quality as well as a variety of video-on-demand content. Zattoo is available on almost all devices, including smartTVs, PCs and laptops, streaming players, smartphones and tablets. In addition to its free service, Zattoo offers a wide range of HD and Full HD channels, Time Shift TV and EU-wide streaming in its paid subscriptions. With more than 30 customers, ZATTOO is one of the
leading TV-as-a-Service platforms in Europe. Its customers include Tier 1
operators like 1&1 in Germany, eir in Ireland, Salt in Switzerland
and Monaco Telecom, for whom ZATTOO offers fully hosted and managed IPTV, OTT and TV Everywhere services.

The Team

The Zattoo Finance Team combines years of experience along with a
high degree of responsibility and professionalism. We are currently five
people taking care of accounting, controlling, taxes, insurance and
various processes centrally for all four companies in Switzerland,
Germany and the USA.

Tasks

• Responsible for the Controlling of our Subscription and Advertising business (Direct-to-Consumer).
• This

includes monthly close activities, preparing and providing timely and
accurate reporting and analysis, business partnering, forecasting,
budgeting, audit etc.

• Drive and support project work e.g. in the area of digitalisation and automation
• Develop process and system enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Collaborate with colleagues from other departments e.g. Sales, Business Intelligence, Marketing etc.
• Superuser of key financial systems

Requirements

• Profound education in accounting and controlling plus a minimum of 5 years controlling experience
• Fluent in verbal and written English and German
• Experience supporting a distributed team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Team player with superior interpersonal skills
• Analytical, systematic and strategic thinker
• Proactive and independent working style
• A track record for delivering high-quality work
• Experience with BI tools and methodologies (big data analysis)
• Modelling and scenario building including predictive forecasting models
• Experience in building driver-based business models
• Experience in building state of the art dashboards and reporting for specific target groups
• Strong mathematical skills
• Bonus: Previous work experience in an international environment, experience in business partnering
