Firmware Architect / Senior Firmware Engineer - Platform Team

In our Research and Development Center in Cham we are developing an embedded devices platform for the globally growing smart metering business. To build our next-generation metering platform we are looking to extend our platform development team with passionate and result-oriented Firmware Architect / Engineer - Platform Team.

In this challenging and rewarding engineering position you will be responsible for firmware development within the global platform team. Together with the Lead Architect of the Platform you will drive forward the architecture and ensure the quality of all our deliveries. The platform serves as the foundation of our future Smart Residential and ICG metering portfolio globaly. Together with a team of approx. 90 specialists distributed between Switzerland and India you will specify, develop and verify innovative, high-quality embedded software in an agile environment using state of the art tools and processes. You will also collaborate with multiple globally distributed product teams.

Your profile:

• A degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering FH / ETH completed
• Practical experience in object-oriented, embedded software development (C++) utilizing an RTOS (ThreadX, embOS)
• Good understanding of software design and patterns
• Experience and interest in agile development methods and practices, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement
• Good communication skills in English and preferably German, in written and in spoken language
• Self motivated and open minded, a teamplayer with a strong will to succeed
