We are currently in search of a Business Development Manager for an exciting opportunity in Bern. In this position, you will play a pivotal role in elevating profitability and ensuring sustained customer retention within an innovative high-tech setting. Reporting directly to the Chief Customers Officer (CCO), you will actively liaise with stakeholders, bridging the gap between internal and customer perspectives. Your primary responsibilities will involve spearheading business development initiatives to optimize sales efficiency and champion advanced technical solutions.

Our client operates in the domain of real-time simulation and testing technology, boasting extensive experience and a global presence. With operations spanning diverse industries such as automotive, aerospace, robotics, and energy, the company consistently achieves notable annual revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Owner of Account Management Programs: Conduct comprehensive market research to pinpoint high-potential core clusters. Develop actionable account management and activity plans for technical sales. Provide guidance and monitor progress and success for key accounts.
  • General Sales Strategies for Focus Industries and Use Cases: Analyze and pinpoint strategic focus areas. Develop and execute business development strategies while closely collaborating with customer-facing teams. Monitor success measures to ensure strategic goals are met.
  • Customer Retention: Enhance customer satisfaction by identifying areas for improvement. Develop actionable plans for technical sales and other teams, monitoring progress. Conduct regular surveys to gauge customer satisfaction and ensure retention.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree in electrical, mechanical engineering, or business administration.
  • Ability to comprehend and articulate complex, multidimensional problems in a comprehensive manner.
  • Previous experience in a customer-facing technical role.
  • Ideally, experience with MBD development schemes and controls prototyping and HIL simulation.
  • Proficient in both written and oral English and German.
  • Experience with CRM tools, e.g., Microsoft Dynamics.
