As part of Leonardo, Kopter currently develops the AW09, a next generation single-engine helicopter that offers the largest cabin and cargo hold in its category, increased modularity and modern electronic systems. The AW09 delivers latest safety standards as well as more performance and comfort at low operating costs.

Kopter is set to become Leonardo’s Centre of Excellence for new light helicopters and an incubator of new technologies, contributing to the development of hybrid and electrical propulsion systems. Kopter’s 320 talented team members are primarily based in Switzerland, near Zurich and in Mollis (Canton of Glarus).

Your Responsibilities

► Aid design, development and production of the aircraft Schematic Diagrams (SDs) and Wiring Diagrams (WDs)

► Aid design and development of the aircraft cables and harness installation as well as the electrical and avionics installation

► Participate in the selection of cables, connectors and associated materials with the supplier

► Support aircraft build and test on ground of the Avionics and Electrical Systems

Tasks

► Creation of 2D design SDs and WDs for all the aircraft systems

► Liaise with other company departments for the harness design of relevant systems

► Participation in the development of 3D harness design and routing for all the aircraft systems

► Support technical meetings, internal reviews and external supplier reviews

► Provide support to development / production aircraft problem report investigation/testing in an efficient manner

Your Qualifications & Experience

► University Degree or equivalent in electrical or aerospace engineering

► 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in electrical system cable and harness development and installation for fixed or rotary wings platforms

► Experience of development and production of 2D aircraft SDs/WDs and 3D harness routing and installations

► Experience in aircraft cables and harness production build and certification

► Familiarity With

– Aircraft 2D SDs and WDs software tools, NX knowledge an asset

– Aircraft 3D software design tools for harness routing and installation

► English minimum B2 (verbal and written)
