Part of our Global Packaging team based at headquarters your role will focus on the design and development of Medela packaging for all distribution channels (online and retail).

This role is a key player in the product development project team for packaging creation and securing knowledge management to ongoing packaging related projects. In addition to creation, you will focus on validation of specifications, documentation and regulatory compliance of packaging.

Your Responsibilities
  • Establish clear packaging briefs and requirements defined with Marketing/R&D/Procurement/AQ/R&D Quality
  • Study new packaging options with suppliers and design agencies
  • Coordinate new packaging developments with Production teams
  • Perform packaging tests (ASTM4169) according to Medical Devices or Electronic Devices regulations
  • Execution of design reviews
  • Validate shipping box parameters and pallet configurations with Production/Logistics
  • Management of packaging specifications and technical documentation in Agile
  • Coordinate the validation of packaging and ensure compliance with all mandatory regulations
  • Improve internal packaging processes, packaging optimizations and cost reductions
  • Take part in sustainability initiatives linked to packaging
  • Benchmark new materials/innovations and support the audit of new suppliers
Your Qualifications
  • Masters degree in a technical field
  • 5 + years’ experience working in packaging development
  • Interest in packaging innovation, development and sustainability
  • Knowledge of mandatory regulations impacting packaging in medical devices
  • Very good written and spoken English
  • Team player with a positive, solutions oriented mindset
