Are you ready for your new challenge to drive LHG‘s sustainable competitiveness by connecting demand and supply in the most cost-efficient and innovative way? You are responsible for the development, management and coordination of the procurement category "Engines" within the cluster MRO-Services and play an integral role in the decision making processes for the future of procurement in TechOPS.

Tasks

As Head of Engine Services Procurement you drive strategic and commercial optimum with your team. You embody the values appreciation, entrepreneurship, sustainability and group optimum. Be part of our team and ensure optimal conditions and stability in the supply chain!

  • Manages the category Engines with 1bn+ MRO-spend for 20+ engine types in close collaboration with Group Engine Management.
  • Defines category group strategy, cost savings and meets sustainability targets
  • Optimizes working capital, develops end-to-end strategies and ensures data-based decisions
  • Drives selection and management of Lufthansa Groups’ supply base to meet operational and strategic requirements and professionalizes supplier relationship management in terms of quality, cost efficiency and security of supply
  • Manages innovation, compliance and stakeholder communication
  • Plans and monitors budget and staff management

Requirements

  • (Master’s) Degree in economics, engineering or comparable
  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience
  • Strong expertise in negotiation & stakeholder management
  • Dedicated knowledge in finance and controlling as well as analytical skills
  • Excellent intercultural competencies and communication capabilities (German and English)
  • Passionate teamplayer with strong people skills to create an environment of psychological safety
  • Strongly result driven attitude with ability to handle and manage conflicts
  • Focus on decision making and implementation
  • Neutrality, objectivity and inclusion towards all business units
  • Management of (virtual) teams (locations/functions)
  • Willingness to travel
