Job Description

We are looking for a Methods Engineer Transfers 100% (m/f/d) with a strong technical background, a high motivation to work in the Railway Industry and the know-how to challenge and improve quality topics during transfers of projects for our site in Schaffhausen and the Business Unit. This position is currently fix-term for one year.

Your Tasks Will Include, Among Others

If you have successfully achieved a degree in mechanical engineering and already have experience in transfers of projects in an international industrial company, these tasks surely sound interesting to you:
  • Organisation and management of transfers of production and projects between different sites
  • Implementation of quality and process engineering activities for the transferred projects
  • Further develop and validate assembly concepts and related quality documentation (5S, KAIZEN, VKS)
  • Supporting the realization and the validation of the related documents as PFD, P-FMEA, Control Plan, control and manufacturing instructions and support in preparation of the standard assembly quality/process documentation
  • Manage internal/Customer quality complaints for the transferred projects, following the correct methodologies (QRQC, PDCA-FTA, ...), promoting the root cause analysis and validating the corrective actions
  • Preparing, participating and validating the successful transfer of production through internal and Customer FAIs
As Methods Engineer Transfers you are part of the project team and the internal interface between projects, quality and transfers between international sites, as well as externally to customers and suppliers and to sister plants.
You are responsible for the successful transfer of our coupler projects from one site to the other and your focus will be on safety, quality improvement and increasing productivity.

For This Position We Expect
  • In addition to a degree in mechanical engineering or project management and experience in quality topics and transfers - a cooperative, responsible and methodical way of working as well as a pronounced commitment and good communication skills.
  • Quality tools like 8D, Ishikawa, VSM, 5S, etc are well known as well.
  • A good knowledge of MS Office as well as a good command of our group language English both spoken and written is a prerequisite.
  • Good command of German is as well a valuable asset.
