Job Summary

The Program & Alliance Manager, EMEA Mid-sized Markets will support managing BioCryst´s Commercial partner network in the EMEA region. In close collaboration and under the supervision of the Director Alliances & Partnerships, this individual will be responsible for coordinating ongoing and new cross-functional projects to support the successful commercialization of berotralstat in defined markets. He/she will work closely with internal core functions as well as the respective functions at BioCryst´s Commercial Partners in relevant markets. He/she will possess strong project management & interpersonal skills, the drive to work collaboratively as well as a high motivation to take ownership, co-create and support others beyond the given job description. This is an ideal role for a candidate with sound business experience in biotech and the desire to further develop skills

& expertise that qualify for more senior commercial positions in the mid-term.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the commercialization & launch execution strategies for berotralstat in EMEA Mid-sized Markets where BioCryst operates through Commercial partners (currently 24 countries in CEE and MENA regions)
  • Create, maintain and monitor integrated cross-functional project and launch tracking plans per Partner / geography to achieve objectives for profitable growth of BioCryst’s product portfolio in EMEA Mid-sized Markets
  • Participate actively in & facilitate cross-functional internal meetings as well as Partner meetings (e.g. Monthly Operational Calls, Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Business Reviews, project meetings, etc) by preparing, co-leading and following up (agenda, time-keeping, meeting minutes) of such meetings
  • Track activities, actively follow up on progress vs plan with subject matter experts and communicate project interdependencies
  • Identify and manage issues / risks by elaborating mitigation plans and by providing potential solutions
  • Establish, maintain and optimize working relationships with internal and external stakeholders through precise communication and project support
  • Closely collaborate with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, Finance, Regulatory, Quality, Supply Chain, Legal and Compliance and other functions to ensure optimal cross-functional input and support key initiatives
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Potentially lead overall Alliance of selected partner as stretch assignment for future development into a senior Commercial Mgmt role

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nature sciences, economics, engineering or equivalent experience is required. Master degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Project Management Certification (Prince2, PMP) highly beneficial
  • 5+ years of professional healthcare experience in Project Management, Commercial and/or Operations, ideally in an above-country/regional setting; Rare Disease knowledge beneficial
  • Proven track record of operating effectively in multicultural and cross-functional settings
  • Strong planning and analytical skills with proven ability to keep overview and control under pressure
  • Working experience in matrix organizations and in influencing functional contributors
  • Prior professional experience in international partner management preferred; experience with EMEA Mid-sized Markets (CEE, GCC) beneficial
  • Can-Do attitude and willingness / motivation to support others beyond own job description
  • Excellent skills in MSOffice applications and Project Management tools (e.g. Smartsheet)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, additional language skills relevant for the given geography (CEE, GCC) beneficial
  • Excellent presentation and negotiation skills, ability to maintain high ethical standards, possess ability to make decisions, and enjoy working in a team-oriented culture

LOCATION:

  • Remote / home-office based within DACH region (Austria, Germany, Switzerland) with the willingness / ability to travel internationally up to 20%
