We are looking for a Sales and Marketing Lead – Rheumatologywho is eager to join us in our local commercial operations team, based office in Bulle, Switzerland.

About The Role

The incumbent will be reporting to the Immunology Lead – Alps and will be responsible for developing and executing integrated sales and marketing strategies to drive the promotion and growth of our rheumatology portfolio in Switzerland.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and nurture a high-performing team by providing coaching, training, and performance management, fostering a collaborative and dynamic environment.
  • Steer definition of the marketing strategy and oversee marketing operations, leading a marketing function composed of experienced professionals.
  • Act as a line manager for the sales force, leading implementation of sales force effectiveness projects, ensuring that the teams develop the necessary set of skills needed to compete in a modern and digitalized marketplace.
  • Drive the label extension of the most important product of the portfolio, in a challenging and demanding environment, prioritizing, and maximising the promotional effort based on the market needs, implementing a sound targeting exercise and carrying out “real-time” tracking of performance.
  • Develop comprehensive sales and marketing strategies that align with the company’s objectives and with market trends, enabling a sound cross-functional approach to the commercialization of our portfolio.
  • Manage the sales and marketing budget effectively, allocating resources efficiently, and tracking expenses to maximize ROI, adapting, and changing on the course if needed.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with KOLs, healthcare institutions, and stakeholders to drive sales and enhance company positioning among the customer’s base.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and inventory management plans, ensuring product availability and timely deliveries.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a medical scientific field (master’s preferred).
  • Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales and marketing, with a minimum of 3 years in sales leadership roles.
  • Deep understanding of the Swiss pharmaceutical industry, including regulatory requirements and compliance.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and negotiation skills. Proficiency in usage of most common analytical tools and platforms.
  • Creative thinking with the ability to develop innovative sales and marketing campaigns. Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both German and English.
