Holcim is 70,000 people around the world who are passionate about building progress for people and the planet through four business segments: Cement, Ready-Mix Concrete, Aggregates and Solutions & Products.No agencies can be considered for this job posting, and no agency involvement is required unless contractually assigned.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Group Consolidation and Transactions Manager is responsible to review all cross transactions in compliance with IFRS and Group accounting principles (LHARP), supporting the Group companies applying the adequate accounting treatment. You will manage the review and preparation of acquisitions and divestments in liaison with M&A Department. You will also be responsible to support the closing process by preparing the closing considerations presentation to the Group CFO in anticipation of the quarterly external publications and coordinating the impairment process, including the review of assets valuation. You will participate to different finance projects enhancing the quality and effectiveness of our processes.Major Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance of Group accounts to IFRS and Group accounting principles (LHARP)
  • Collaborate with Group Corporate functions to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of significant events and transactions in the group financial statements
  • Provide technical support and training to Group companies and Group Corporate functions in the area of accounting, controlling and reporting
  • Manage the review and preparation of acquisitions and divestments projects in liaison with M&A Department (accounting treatment, impacts in Group accounts, disclosures requirements)
  • Prepare the Closing Considerations Presentation to the Group CFO in anticipation of the quarterly external publications
  • Coordinate the impairment process, review the business plans and validate the main assumptions with the Regions and the Transaction Services Department, manage the discussions with the Group Auditors
  • Lead Projects in connection with consolidation and reporting initiatives in order to enhance the quality and effectiveness of the Closing processes
  • Participate to the assets deep dive review Process
  • Anticipate the requirements in line with new IFRS and regulations
  • Support the LHARP (Group Accounting Principles ) implementation
  • Assist the Head of Corporate Reporting and perform ad-hoc requests and lead communication to the main stakeholders (Top Management, Regions Heads, Countries CFOS, Corporate Functions Heads)
  • Contribute to the accuracy of forecasts and simulation scenarios
Education/Qualifications
  • Finance, accounting
  • Business School or University equivalent, preferably with a master’s degree in Finance
  • CPA/ACCA or equivalent degree
Experience
  • Preferably around 10 years of experience in external audit, consultant firms or international controlling and reporting
  • Big4 experience
  • Experience in multinational and multi-cultural environments
Knowledge & Skills
  • Consolidation know-how
  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) knowledge
  • Strong analytical financial skills

Language RequirementsEnglish as base working language. Additional languages highly appreciated (German, French, Spanish).
