In ourAnalytical Chemistrybusiness unit, we develop and distribute innovative measuring instruments that have an excellent image on the market. In our R&D team, we develop the software and firmware for these measuring instruments. To further expand our leading role, we are looking for a Software Architect Embedded 100% (f/m/d) at our global operational headquarters in Nänikon-Greifensee.
In this role, your responsibilities would include:
* You are representing the requirements of several embedded SW teams to the instrument/backend (Kubernetes) - team in the context of a IoT instrument/server architecture
* You review and align the technical concepts with the business requirements
* You have the conceptual architecture responsibility for the cross-system aspects of specific features
* You will work closely with other software architects on an equal footing
* You support embedded teams at other locations
* You apply modern software concepts considering conceptual reusability
* You work on proof-of-concepts and the development of innovative solutions
* You evaluate possibilities in technological risky or unknown areas and elaborate solution approaches
* You participate in reviews and perform refactorings to improve software quality
* You are interested in contributing substantially to the implementation, depending on the project phase
Following requirements are necessary for this role:
* You have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science (ETH/FH) or equivalent
* You have at least 5 years of relevant experience, ideally in an industrial high tech environment
* You have in-depth knowledge of C++, possibly also .NET6, their methods, designs and architectures and have a structured way of working
* You have good Linux knowledge (development of Linux based software)
* Ideally, you have a solid track record in the following areas: CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, agile methods (SAFe, Scrum), automated tests and code quality
* You have knowledge regarding software security (certificate management, TLS, OpenID Connect)
* You are familiar with technologies such as HTML5, WebAssembly, gRPC und REST
* You have an awareness for high quality and strive for pragmatic and elegant solutions
* You are an open and communicative person, like to work in a well-rehearsed team and can quickly acquire and pass on knowledge
* Due to the international environment, you communicate fluently in English. German language skills are an advantage
* Commitment, personal responsibility, and the ability to work in a team round off your profile
